Stand-up comedy and some gourmet cuisine is what briefly describe’s South India’s largest Wine and Performing Arts Festival.

The second edition of Grover Zampa Wine festival was a huge success. Grover Zampa Vineyards is India’s oldest and most awarded wine company and has bagged in over 24 awards in 2014 from two international wine competitions that it participated in, and again created history by winning 21 international wine awards at the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Competition, New York World Wine and Spirits competition and the Decanter Asia.

The Great Grover Wine Festival 2016 was the perfect platform for people to experience the wine culture, entice your buds with some of the finest wines and food spread. The festival showcased some of the award winning wine collections from the Grover Zampa Vineyards like Vijay Amritraj Reserve Collection, La Reserve, Chene Grand Reserve, Art Collection and premium sparkling wines Soirée Brut and Brut Rosé.

Spread out across the 7 acre central park, the Grover Zampa wine festival was truly an experience of its kind. With Wine stomping contests, wine appreciation sessions, flea market,  music and comedy shows adding an extra glaze to the wine festival.

What should you drink?

The La Reserve, I personally have been an admirer of the La Reserve and if you like red wine, you should definitely try out this red cabernet Shiraz from Grover Zampa Vineyards. Smart conventional red, with the classic flavours of rich ripe syrah fruit. Some real crisp clean acid with refreshing taste.

Why you should not miss it the next year?

If you missed the Great Grover Wine Festival 2016, don’t get disheartened as they will be coming back soon with a lot more beautiful wines, great music, fleas, performances and much more.

Grover Zampa Vineyards is the Pioneer and most prestigious wine producers for India. 

The company owns wineries and vineyards in both the Nandi Hills in Karnataka and in the Nashik Valley in Maharashtra. Working with limited yields, sustainable viticulture practices and selective hand harvesting, the winemaking is carried out by a team of local oenologists under the direction of international French wine consultant Michel Rolland and French winemaker Mathias Pellisard.
