Beating summer with shakes and coolers

Summer has hit Bangalore hard and has made up keep hunting our freezers, to pack our drinks with ice. I'm not a big fan of ice in my drinks, but come summer and it changes everything.

Mango Shake (Mango Milkshake) is a cool and tempting fruit drink prepared by simply blending ripe mango pieces, milk and sugar. To keep things simple and easy, this recipe primarily explains how to make mango shake with milk. However, for those who are looking for something different, there are few tips and serving ideas mentioned below which can simply make it a divine experience in every sip.

How to make your mouthwatering mango milkshake:

Wash, peel and chop mangoes into small pieces, discard stone. Keep chopped mango pieces in a freezer for 20 minutes. Transfer them to blender jar. Add sugar (to taste or according to sweetness of mango) and milk. Blend until smooth and creamy and there are no mango chunks in it. Pour prepared shake into serving glasses, garnish with almonds and scoop of ice cream and serve.

Make it more smoother and better:

If you want to prepare this shake without waiting for mango pieces to be chilled, then add few ice cubes either during blending or after blending. Top it up with 1 large scoop of vanilla ice cream and few cashew nuts for mango shake with ice cream experience. Use top quality mango which has lot of flavor and less fibers for smoother shake.

The recipe for milkshake is part of the endeavor to create awesome place to find about food in Bangalore, Indian Cuisines in collaboration with a few bloggers who share the same passion of cooking and writing about food.
